Coraline and the magic door
Intrigued by the many positive reviews I decided to go to the cinema to see this new animated film, "Coraline and the magic door.
The choice of the multiplex was not random: the film is made entirely in 3D, and believe me, that is absolutely worth seeing him in a movie theater that supports this amazing technology. I therefore immediately directed to the multiplex in Cerro Maggiore, absolutely one of the best in the area of Varese.
First the plot. Coraline is a girl of 11 years who moved with her parents in a new home in Oregon. Bored and underappreciated by his parents, sloppy and totally devoted to work, Coraline begins to count the doors of the house, they discover, however, a very special, leading to a parallel world, where everything is identical to that in which she lives. There's his new home, mom, dad and boyfriend, but there are two differences: Coraline's parents are not at all sloppy and show indeed infinite care for her daughter, making her every desire, and, more particularly disturbing Every inhabitant of this "other" world has buttons sewn over their eyes.
Coraline is initially fascinated by what he finds, but will soon have to think again.
Coraline and the magic door is an animated technically perfect: the entire film is taken up in "stop-motion", as "Nightmare Before Christmas" in the same director (Henry Selick), and in 3D.
The 3D in particular is breathtaking: in the entrance hall is equipped with goggles and, from that moment on, the magic begins. I had the impression of being in a cinema of the early twentieth century, hearing the "oooh" of amazement in the room: the objects came from the screen and you fell in a realistic manner so as to be persuaded to touch them.
But the special effects are just one detail of the exceptional nature of this film: even the plot is unique and not be fooled, it is not a fairy tale for children. Coraline and the magic door conveys a moral and highly topical subjects: the parent-child relationship, the myth of appearance rather than the imposition by de "others" a way of seeing that is not our .
To sum up, one advice: go and see "Coraline and the magic door," come home with something extra.
